NIA raided by the CBI DSP in Bihar used his brother-in-law to operate a bribery business. In the Naxal link case, the CBI has apprehended the bribery-taking DSP.
CBI Raid: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken a huge move in Bihar. CBI caught NIA Patna branch DSP Ajay Pratap Singh red-handed receiving bribe. DSP, his brother-in-law Himanshu, and an additional agent have been taken into custody. These individuals were discovered accepting a Rs 20 lakh bribe. Regarding this, the CBI has discovered startling discoveries.
In fact, in the Naxal connection case, the investigative agencies have tightened their grip on the family of former MLC Manorama Devi. The DSP was attempting to obtain items valued at crores in exchange for the resolution of this case, and he was facilitating the transaction through his brother-in-law. After learning of this, the CBI raided their hideouts in Varanasi, Patna, and Gaya.
Demanded 2.5 crores in Naxalite case
On Thursday, the CBI detained three persons, including the brother-in-law of NIA DSP Ajay Pratap Singh and himself from Gaya. CBI said that on 19th September, NIA raided Manorama Devi's hideouts on the grounds of Naxalite involvement. Over 4 crore in cash and other assets were retrieved along with ten firearms. On September 24, DSP Ajay Pratap called Rocky Yadav, the owner of Ramaiya Construction and the son of Manorama Devi, to his Patna office to discuss this case. According to Rocky, DSP threatened to link him to the Naxalite organization. He sought a bribe of Rs. 2.5 crores to rescue himself.

They used to scribble mobile numbers on notes and conduct business through their brother-in-law.
Rocky says that he bowed in to pressure and agreed to pay the first installment of 25 lakh rupees. He had taken a note with the name of the recipient of the money scribbled on it and delivered it to him. He had also provided that agent's mobile number. According to Rocky, he gave the money to Aurangabad on September 26. Rocky was phoned by the DSP two days after the money was given.

Rocky provided this information to the senior CBI officers since he was tired of the extortion. The DSP was then apprehended by the CBI, along with his brother-in-law and another individual. During the raid, the CBI also took the bribe money out of the DSP's hiding place.
DSP Ajay Pratap Singh: who is he?
An income tax officer is Ajay Pratap Singh. He is currently deputed to the Patna office of NIA. By means of his brother-in-law, the DSP was apprehended engaging in the extortion game. He used to maintain his brother-in-law's agent status. A few of these findings came to light during the CBI raid.
