The discount will be applied when purchasing a car within three years.
According to a statement released by the Delhi government, those who opt to turn their old cars into garbage will receive incentives in the form of a three-year motor vehicle tax exemption when they buy new cars. 20% of the purchase price of non-commercial CNG and gasoline vehicles, 15% of the purchase price of commercial CNG and gasoline vehicles, and 10% of the purchase price of diesel vehicles will be exempt from taxes under this incentive program.
Vehicles that emit pollutants will be taken off the road.
The Delhi government's program is to reduce the number of outdated, polluting cars on the road in order to encourage the adoption of cars with improved emission standards and lower pollution levels. After donating his old car for scrap at a facility center that is registered, an individual must obtain a deposit certificate in order to be eligible for benefits under this plan. When he presents that certificate within three years of registering a new car, he will be eligible for tax relief.
