NEET Paper Leak: Ranchi's RIMS is feeling the heat from the CBI's investigation into the NEET paper leak issue. Four medical students from Patna AIIMS and one from Ranchi RIMS have been detained by the CBI.


NEET Paper Breach: Patna/Raji On Thursday, the CBI detained four medical students from Patna AIIMS and one from Ranchi RIMS in connection with the NEET UG-2024 exam leak case. Surabhi Kumari, a medical student in the second year of the MBBS 2023 batch, was detained from RIMS. She lives in the town of Ramgarh. The four medical students who were detained from Patna AIIMS are: Chandan Singh, a third-year student from Siwan; Kumar Shanu, a Patna resident; Rahul Anand, a Dhanbad resident; and Karan Jain, a second-year student from Araria. The CBI has placed these four under a four-day detention to be questioned.


Investigation on NEET paper leak reaches RIMS

The CBI team went to RIMS Hostel No. 3 on Wednesday night to examine student Surabhi Kumari over the NEET paper leak case. She was questioned until late at night, at which point she was placed under police protection in the hostel. She was summoned back to the CBI headquarters in Ranchi on Thursday morning to be questioned. After an extensive questioning, she was taken into custody. The student was questioned on Wednesday and Thursday without the presence of family members, and information on the student was requested from the dormitory warden and the dean of student welfare. Her parents were informed of her detention by the RIMS management. Thursday

Her parents arrived at the CBI office straight away. We would like to inform you that in the NEET UG-2024 paper leak case, this is the first arrest from a Jharkhand medical college. The person at the center of this whole case, Sanjeev Mukhiya, is being pursued by the CBI. Action against certain physicians and medical students is being planned as a result. Prior to Patna AIIMS, Hukma Ram, a Jodhpur AIIMS third-year student, was also mentioned in this case. He is now evading capture, though.


All four Patna AIIMS students' rooms were sealed, and all electronic devices were seized.

Four Patna AIIMS medical students have been arrested by the CBI on the basis of their questioning of Rocky, the primary offender who was earlier arrested in connection with the NEET UG paper leak case. Chandan Singh, Kumar Shanu, Rahul Anand, and Karan Jain are a few of these. These four students' rooms have been sealed by the CBI, and all of their electronic devices—including cellphones—have been seized. In order to find out who these kids have spoken to over the past 2.5 months, the CBI is also retrieving the call logs for these students.


These four pupils' social media and email accounts are also being looked into. Chandan Singh, Kumar Shanu, Rahul Anand, Karan Jain, and Surendra were placed under four days of detention by the CBI on Thursday. It is significant that Surendra set up the meeting between these four AIIMS MBBS students and Rocky and the other accused parties. Surendra was taken into custody on the Patna AIIMS campus as well.
