Case involving Excise Policy: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was placed under 14 days of judicial custody by Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court in connection with a corruption case involving the excise policy. He was presented in court today by the CBI following the conclusion of his three-day detention period.


The CBI had requested 14 days in court detention.

The CBI has asked the court to grant them 14 days of judicial detention. which the court had previously postponed, but eventually granted the CBI's request and placed the Delhi Chief Minister under arrest.


The CBI has arrested Arvind Kejriwal.

The CBI detained the Chief Minister in relation to the anomalies in the Delhi government's excise policy. In a case involving money laundering, Kejriwal was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21. The Delhi High Court halted Kejriwal's bail, which had been granted by the lower court.


AAP demonstrated in front of the BJP headquarters, calling for Kejriwal's release.

Demanding the release of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, leaders and members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged a protest close to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters on Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Marg. Protesters gathered at the AAP office on DDU Marg, close to the BJP headquarters, and sang anti-BJP chants while calling for Kejriwal's release. Since the protest was organized without permission, plans have been prepared to stop the demonstrators from marching in the direction of the BJP headquarters. According to the official, paramilitary forces had been dispatched to the area and barricades had been erected to disperse the demonstrators.
