Death toll from poisonous liquor in Tamil Nadu rises to 29, over 60 hospitalised

 


After imbibing deadly liquor in Tamil Nadu, over 60 people are hospitalized in Kallakurichi and 29 people have died.


In Tamil Nadu's Kallakurichi district, at least 29 persons have reportedly consumed deadly whiskey, resulting in over 60 hospital admissions and at least 29 deaths. Authorities are worried that the number of fatalities could increase. MS Prashanth, the district collector for Kallakurichi, visited patients at the district's Government Medical College Hospital.

Many more are in critical condition, fighting for their life. My sincere I send my sympathies to the relatives of the deceased and wish the hospitalized patients a quick recovery. The governor voiced alarm over the repeated instances of fatalities brought on by the ingestion of phony alcohol from different regions of the state. The post went on to say that stories of people dying from drinking bogus alcohol occasionally arrive from all around our state. There should be serious concern over this.
