News from Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren met with state's former chief minister Hemant Soren at Birsa Munda Central Jail in Hotwar, Ranchi, prior to casting ballots in the Phase seven, the last stage of the Lok Sabha elections. On Friday, May 31, Champai Soren made his way to meet with the former chief minister of Jharkhand.

According to rumors, Hemant Soren and Champai Soren met in jail to talk about the circumstances surrounding the Lok Sabha elections. In the midst of the Lok Sabha election voting, a conference of the I.N.D.I.A., the grand alliance established against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been called for this Saturday, June 1. To attend the conference, Champai Soren and Kalpana Soren, Hemant's wife, will go to Delhi as well.

Leaders of the I.N.D.I.A. assert that their government will be constituted in the center this time. The leaders of the alliance also assert that their candidates are winning each of Jharkhand's 14 Lok Sabha seats. This coalition comprises the Left, Congress, and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in addition to Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).


The Congress ran candidates for the Lok Sabha on up to seven seats in Jharkhand.

In the Lok Sabha elections, Congress secured the maximum seven seats in Jharkhand under the alliance. While Rashtriya Janata Dal and CPI (ML) (Liberation) each have one candidate running in the elections, JMM has fielded candidates for five seats. In Jharkhand, elections are being held for 14 seats in 4 phases. Three waves of voting have been held for eleven seats. The final phase of voting is scheduled for June 1 and will involve the Lok Sabha seats of Dumka, Rajmahal, and Godda.
