A native of Bangladesh who had been living covertly in Bihar for many years has been apprehended by Araria Police. He moved to Bihar, got married, and fathered a daughter. Not only that, but his identity card was incorrectly created here as well. He even possesses an Indian voter card and Aadhar card. Throughout the questioning, he has revealed a number of startling things.

 

In secret, a Bangladeshi was residing in Araria.

For the past few years, a citizen of Bangladesh has been living covertly in Rampur Kodarkatti Panchayat's Marangi Tola Ward No. 11 under the jurisdiction of Araria Nagar Police Station. When he arrived at the Nagar Police Station for work pertaining to his passport, this became apparent. The police requested that he have the Mukhiya write on a letter pad that he lives in that Panchayat. Upon meeting the Mukhiya, the latter had suspicions that he was not a Panchayat resident. Everything started to reveal itself layer by layer as the Mukhiya dug deeper. It came to light during questioning that he is a citizen of Bangladesh and had been residing covertly in Katihar and Araria for six years.


A Bangladeshi was living under a false identity card and changing his name.

The Indian identity card that the citizen of Bangladesh also possesses was created under false pretenses. It has Nawab as his name on file. He divulged many more secrets to the police when they had him jailed. At a news conference at the Nagar police station, ASP cum SDPO Rampukar Singh revealed that Nawab, a 24-year-old man who was detained, was residing in the Nagar police station area's Ward No. 11, Marangi Tola, Rampur Kodarkatti Panchayat, using a fictitious name. Hakim Father Ansar Ali is his original name. He lives in Bangladesh's Devi Nagar village, which is under the police station and district Chapai Nawabganj. Ward No. 07 belongs to him.

The police have been informed by the citizen of Bangladesh that three years ago, he traveled to Bihar and wed Rangeela Khatun father Mushtaq Ahmed at Rampur Kodarkatti Marangi Tola. He was residing here while claiming to be from Bangladesh. Making his cousin father-in-law Subhan (wife's uncle) his father and declaring him to be an illegal Indian native, he obtained his voter card and Aadhar card. The cops are taking additional action as well.

A Bangladeshi national living in Bihar under a false identity, however, reported that he paid 500 to 1000 rupees to a man who assisted him in crossing the border without difficulty close to the river gate. He said that a few days prior, he had traveled to Bangladesh as well and returned after seeing his mother. His polling booth number, according to the villagers, is 271. The entire situation is being looked into by the police.
