England's Mark Wood out for rest of 2024 with elbow injury

England's fast bowler Mark Wood has been ruled out for the remainder of the year because of a right elbow injury. Having already missed matches against Sri Lanka due to a thigh strain, Wood aims to return by early 2025. The ECB is hopeful about his recovery for England's white-ball tour of India and the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
