IND vs. SA: Bridgetown, Barbados will host the 2024 T20 World Cup final between India and South Africa on Saturday. However, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has scheduled a reserve day for Sunday, June 30, in anticipation of the match being disrupted by persistent rain.
Every attempt will be made to finish the match on the designated day, with the required decrease in overs, in accordance with the ICC's playing conditions. The match will only be finished on the reserve day if the required minimum overs cannot be bowled on the scheduled day.
How will the reserve day function in the IND vs. SA final?
In order to qualify for the final, the side batting second needs to bowl for a minimum of ten overs. The game will resume on the reserve day from the same location where the last ball was played if it has begun on the scheduled day, the overs are decreased following an interruption, and no more play is feasible.
The reserve day is scheduled to begin on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. Indian time. The last and reserve day has been allocated 190 minutes in total. In the event of a tie, a super over will be used to determine the winner. The next super overs will be played till a result is out if the first super over is tied. Super overs are held without limit until a winner is established.

Prior to the game, India's head coach Rahul Dravid commended his squad for their ability to adjust to the situation. He acknowledged that it is hard to forecast the conditions or the outcome, but he is optimistic that his side will handle it well.
The ongoing rain has caused significant disruptions to the T20 World Cup this year, affecting the tournament's flow. India and South Africa would share the victory if the match is called off and no decision is made after the reserve day.
